Quizzes and Testing using Technology

How can we monitor every single student in our classrooms? What about the Students that don’t speak much or the ones that say they are okay, when in fact they are struggling with the content you deliver?

This session looks at the use of technology in the classroom, using short quizzes/testing to provide quality formative feedback that is easy to decipher and focuses on optimising learning using retrieval practice. Retrieval practice can help with both fact-based learning and meaningful learning and transfer (Butler, 2010; Carpenter, 2012; Jensen et al.,2014; Smith et al., 2016).

Frequent snapshots of class progress can give you a more tailored approach to teaching and help you better understand your students without drastically increasing your workload.
